Argentina defender Nicolas Burdisso is anxiously waiting to see whether a deal can be reached which will see him join Roma on a permanent deal.
The 29-year-old centre-back spent the whole of last season on loan in the capital from Internazionale, but as yet the two clubs cannot agree a fee to decide Burdisso's future.
His agent, Fernando Hidalgo, told Sky Sport Italia: "I was told that the meeting between the two directors did not go very well, because there is still a big difference between the demands and the offer.
"We want to find a solution to this mess as soon as possible, because Nicolas is being kept under pressure. He doesn't know if he'll return to Milan or Rome for pre-season training.
"We demand that the situation be clarified once and for all. Should he come back to Inter or remain at Roma?"
Meanwhile, Inter's sporting director, Marco Branca, has warned that his club will not budge on their asking price for the South American.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "His cost is 10million euros and Roma know it . We won't reduce our asking price."
