Roma-Parma postponed due to heavy rain

Torrential rain in the Italian capital on Sunday led to the postponement of the Roma-Parma game.

The referee initially called the game off in the ninth minute with the match scoreless after players from both sides complained of playing conditions.

Reports on Sky Sport Italia suggested officials would wait 30 minutes before deciding whether the match could restart.

However, after 20 minutes the referee appeared pitchside to blow the final whistle to signal the end of the game.

Roma started the game six points adrift of leaders and champions Juventus, who host Inter Milan in Sunday's late game.
