Francesco Totti strikes a blow against football's war on selfies with derby celebration

Just when it looked like football’s war on selfies was turning a corner, Francesco Totti went and did something which set the cause back by months.

The 38-year-old celebrated scoring against Lazio in the Rome derby this weekend by snapping a selfie in front of the Roma fans.

So much for all that good work done by Arsenal and Tottenham, who recently banned selfie sticks at their grounds.

We’re not quite sure what that face is he’s pulling there, but he’s Francesco Totti, so he can pretty much do what he wants.

He’s scored twice, incidentally, as Roma came from behind to draw 2-2 in their Serie A clash.
