Former Newcastle star Yohan Cabaye is once again on Arsenal's transfer radar after hinting that a move away from Ligue 1 Champions-elect Paris Saint-Germain could happen this summer.

The French international was a transfer target of Arsene Wenger before he opted to return to France and PSG from Newcastle United in January 2014. But the midfielder has had a bit part role at the Parc des Princes and is looking for more regular first team football.

The 29-year-old is keen to get minutes under his belt as he looks to earn a place in Didier Deschamps' France side, with his home country hosting next years European Championships.

Speaking to French TV station Canal+, Cabaye spoke about his current predicament: ‘It is a distinct moment in my career. I have never been through this before,’

‘One has to accept it but also try to change it. It is super important for me, I want to play at Euro 2016.

‘I need to speak to the [France] boss [Deschamps] and my representatives to see what is best for me.’

If the Gunners were to make a move for the accurate midfielder, he would be available for as little as £10million. A small price to pay for a player of his quality and experience.
