Wilshere wants first-team action

England Under-21 international Jack Wilshere is "hungry" for another taste of first-team football with Arsenal. The 18-year-old - who during 2008 became the youngest Arsenal player to appear in both the Premier League and Europe - spent the second half of last season on loan at Bolton. Trotters boss Owen Coyle is keen for the midfielder - mentioned by Fabio Capello as a future prospect for the senior national team - to return to the Reebok Stadium for another spell. However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made it clear he hopes Wilshere will be able to gain more experience within the Arsenal squad, currently away at a training camp in Austria. Wilshere has caught the eye in the opening two pre-season friendlies, and is hoping for more action ahead of the start to the new Barclays Premier League campaign at Liverpool on August 15. "I just want to play. I haven't spoken to the boss yet, so I'll speak to him and see what happens," Wilshere told the club's official website. "My loan spell was good overall. I got some games under my belt and that was the main objective of it, to come back with some more experience. I think when you play you are used to it and it makes you want more, so you come back even more hungry."
