William Gallas snubs two-year deal at Arsenal after refusing to take pay cut

William Gallas William Gallas is reported to have rejected a new two-year deal at Arsenal after he skipped the club's end of season awards ceremony. The defender missed the Gunners' 4-0 win over Fulham on Sunday as he is back home in France undergoing treatment on a calf injury. But Arsenal's other injured stars including  Cesc Fabregas, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Song and Manuel Almunia all joined up with their team-mates at the Emirates. The Evening Standard reports Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has offered Gallas a two-year deal but the players would have to take a pay cut from his current £80,000-a-week deal.
