West Brom or Juventus? Shock Serie A target Campbell in talks with Baggies

Juventus have been linked with a shock move for Sol Campbell.[LNB]Reports on the continent say Juventus want to sign him in the January transfer window and will give him the stage to push for a recall to the England squad.[LNB]West Bromwich Albion have held preliminary talks over a move for Campbell but are still awaiting confirmation that he can sign for another club.[LNB] It's Notts for me: Sol Campbell walked out on County soon after making his debut against Morecambe[LNB]  The former Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth defender is a free agent after walking out on Notts County last month, weeks into a five-year deal.[LNB]Campbell met with West Bromich boss Roberto di Matteo this week and Campbell is hoping for an instant comeback rather than waiting until the winter transfer window opens.[LNB]In normal cases players are not allowed to join another club on a permanent basis when the transfer window is shut, but Campbell has called in the PFA to argue that he has a special case amid claims of broken promises at County.[LNB]Campbell would need special dispensation from the FA to play foranother club before the transfer window reopens and will also have totake a substantial pay cut.[LNB]Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Hull City and Newcastle United are also interested in Campbell.[LNB] Ukraine v England live!
