Wenger tempts Hazard to join Arsenal with 'personal call' to Lille starlet

Arsene Wenger has put in a personal call to Lille wonderkid Eden Hazard in a bid to tempt him to join Arsenal, reports in France claim. Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Belgium international, who is one of Europe's hottest properties, but face stiff competition from many of the continent's top clubs, including the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Liverpool, against whom Hazard scored in their Europa League tie earlier this month. Wenger will fancy his chances of landing the 19-year-old playmaker though, as he has admitted in the past that he would favour a move to North London. 'Real Madrid and Arsenal are the clubs I dreamed of joining as a child,' he said late last year.
