Wenger targets top spot

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains confident that his side will beat off Sevilla's challenge in the Champions League to top Group H. A goalless draw at Slavia Prague followed by a 3-1 defeat in Seville has left the Gunners second in the group standings, but Wenger believes victory against Steaua Bucharest will propel them to the top once again. "I still think we have more than a 50 per cent chance of finishing top of the group," the Frenchman told Arsenal's official website. "We are playing catch-up, but Sevilla have a difficult game away from home at Slavia Prague. "We want to finish this group with a victory. It is very important for us to win our game because if Sevilla don't win we'll finish top of the group. "I'll try to find the right balance between not losing and keeping a strong team against Steaua. "I feel we gave up a big advantage, and yes that was partly down to my selection. But I had many players on the edge after the international games and I had to make a choice because I knew we played three times away. "I should not even have played Fabregas at Sevilla because I ended up losing him to injury."
