Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has accused the English media of running a "persistent campaign" linking Cesc Fabregas with a return to Barcelona.
Wenger has been annoyed by the latest series of reports which claim his 22-year-old skipper could rejoin his former club at the end of the season.
Barcelona's technical secretary Txiki Begiristain was quoted on Thursday denying a previous claim from Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood that an agreement had been made with Arsenal that the European champions will not attempt to sign him this summer.
However, the latest reports have left Wenger critical of the media.
He said "We have not been in contact with Barcelona. There is an official dinner before every Champions League game but there have been no secret meetings. I don't want to sell any of our players.
"We want to keep this team together. I can't understand the persistent campaign to get English players to Spain."
Fabregas joined Arsenal from the youth ranks at Barcelona back in 2003 and the midfielder has gone on to make almost 270 first-team appearances for the north London club.
