Wenger seeks consistency

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has called on his side to show greater consistency if they are to challenge for the Premiership title this season. The Gunners are ten points adrift of Manchester United with a game in hand, with Wenger admitting that his side cannot afford any further slips if they are to hang on to the coat-tails of both United and Chelsea. He said: "We want to show consistency. "We have proved since the beginning of the season that we have quality, but quality alone does not make champions. "Consistency, how much we can gather our resources in every game, that is our target now. "We are now at the stage where it is down to how much we can get up to our best in every game, that will make the difference in the next three months. "We have not found a way to win some games we should have and that is a little bit down to a lack of maturity. "But that has hurt us so much that this team will not be caught again."
