Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he is no closer to resolving the future of veteran defender Sol Campbell.
The 35-year-old centre-half successfully resurrected his career in the top-flight after returning to the north London club on a short-term contract last January following an ill-fated spell at Notts County.
Campbell's deal expired at the end of the season and both Celtic and Newcastle United are both reported to be interested in securing his signature for the new season.
The former Tottenham and Portsmouth man has regularly discussed his preference to remain with the Gunners, but Wenger has revealed a lack of movement on any potential agreement.
"No, there is no update," he told the club's official website.
Wenger has recently confirmed his interest in signing French defender Laurent Koscielny from Ligue 1 club Lorient.
