Wenger resists change

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called on Premiership directors to think twice before joining the sack race prematurely.
Wenger has just brought up a decade in charge of the Gunners and has called for more restraint in making changes over short-term difficulties.
He told reporters: "I believe it is down to the strength and intelligence of the board to make the right decisions concerning the manager.
"The board should make their own mind up and make a decision to keep him if they feel he is good, even if it's not working out at the moment.
"What makes the difference between clubs is the quality of the decisions of the people who have this kind of responsibility.
"Success inside a club is linked with technical stability.
"It's the dream for a director to have a manager for five, six or seven years and leave him alone with the manager taking more responsibilities on.
"But, as soon as they lose three or four games, they become insecure and change. But they know it's a bigger technical and financial risk if a new guy comes in.
"The new guy will want money to buy. Stability is a very important factor in the success of a club."
