Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hailed his side's growing maturity after they secured a 1-0 Champions League victory away to Steaua Bucharest.
A late Robin van Persie strike secured a crucial win in the AS Romanian capital and stretched the Gunners' current run of form to nine victories in a row.
A delighted Wenger said afterwards: "Patience is linked with maturity and we were conscious of that at half-time.
"It was a question of intelligence and patience and we showed that. I am very pleased with result and the performance away from home.
"We had to make sure we weren't caught on the counter-attack and we almost were once, but they didn't take their chance and that was the turning point in the game.
"It says a lot about the resolve in the team, not only because we won but because of the focus we have.
"There is something special in this team and hopefully it will last."
Wenger's side have only failed to win one of their 12 games in all competitions so far this term, being held to a 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers in mid-September.
