Wenger: Gunners are ready

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned his side's opponents that the Gunners are peaking at precisely the right point of the season.

Arsenal resume their Champions League campaign with a trip to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday ahead of a Carling Cup final showdown with Chelsea on Sunday.

Wenger's side are still battling on a third front in the FA Cup and the Frenchman believes the strength in depth he has at his disposal will help guide his through a period of fixture congestion.

"I feel that since December the team has taken off," he said.

"The understanding within the squad is very good, there is a high spirit and we are ready for a big challenge.

"Against PSV, who have dominated Dutch football for a while now, you know you will get a tough game.

"We will try to play our game and score goals."

Meanwhile, Wenger has confirmed that Justin Hoyte will miss the trip to Holland with a slight hamstring strain but the full-back is expected to be fit to face Chelsea in Cardiff at the weekend.
