Wenger doubts Henry return

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has poured cold water on rumours suggesting that former Gunners legend Thierry Henry could return to England to join Manchester United.

The 30-year-old France striker suffered a disappointing first season at the Camp Nou, sparking talk that United could try to tempt Henry back to the Premier League.

However, Wenger told his club's official website: "I don't believe in that.

"I don't believe Thierry Henry will come back to England. That is my gut feeling.

"But I think if he comes back to England then he comes back to Arsenal."

Meanwhile, Wenger has heaped praise on summer recruit Aaron Ramsey, who is set for his Gunners debut in the crucial Champions League qualifier against FC Twente.

He added: "If you are a good football player, you are a good football player whether it's in the Champions League or in another game.

"That means when you have the ball you make an intelligent decision. If you play against your friends on the beach or in a big game, it's exactly the same.

"Aaron has the ingredients to become a good player. He has a fantastic engine, he has a good build and good technique, although I do feel he has to improve that."
