Wenger backs young Gunners to go for it

Arsene Wenger feels Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere are looking "sharp" for a positive campaign - both with Arsenal and England. The young Gunners duo were surprise call-ups to Fabio Capello's new-look senior squad ahead of next week's friendly against Hungary at Wembley.Full-back Gibbs, 20, has just recovered full fitness from a metatarsal fracture which cost him the chance of a shot at the World Cup squad, while 18-year-old Wilshere impressed on his loan spell at Bolton last season and the midfielder is expected to press for more first-team action at Emirates Stadium next season. The Gunners completed their build-up campaign with an astonishing 6-5 victory at Legia Warsaw, with both youngsters featuring again as did forward Theo Walcott - another Arsenal player in Capello's future plan."Kieran Gibbs is slowly coming back to his best. That is good news for us and for England I believe," Wenger told the club's official website,"Walcott and Wilshere were a little jaded [against Legia], but overall they have had a very sharp pre-season campaign."
