Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he is a big fan of West Ham's Nigel Reo-Coker, but has rejected suggestions that he has already made a bid for the midfielder.
The 22-year-old England Under-21 international is thought to be a target for all of the Premiership's big guns, but Wenger has dismissed talk of the Gunners having already made an approach.
He told the club's official website: "I like Reo-Coker, but we never made a bid to West Ham for him.
"He has a good work-rate, technique and power. He has physical power.
"In the middle of the park he uses that very well, he is very incisive and wins the ball. He did that against us last year."
Reo-Coker has been with the Hammers for nearly three years, scoring ten goals in 116 appearances for the Upton Park club.
