Wenger: Hands off Adebayor

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has warned AC Milan off making an offer for striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Gunners boss reportedly sent an angry fax to the Italian club telling them that the Togo international is not for sale.

Adebayor has been linked with a £20million move to Serie A this summer after scoring 46 goals in 105 appearances since his arrival in January 2006.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are also believed to be interested in signing the 24-year-old former AS Monaco hitman.

"It was quite bizarre," a Milan source is quoted as saying.

"A fax arrived signed by Wenger in which he warned us against any bid for Adebayor.

"It went on to say that the player 'is not for sale - not for money or gold'."
