Wenger: 'We are finally able to buy the players we think we need'

The volcanic ash was nothing compared to what'll happene when Arsene blows the dust off the chequebook... will flights be grounded? The man himself has said today: "The construction of the Emirates Stadium meant that for many years we could not spend a lot of money. Our financial situation has greatly improved. We are finally able to buy the players we think we need." Remarkable stuff, and not a minute too soon either - however please note that he doesn't actually say he's in the market for new players, merely that he has the money should he wish to bring anyone in - which is what he's said for years anyway. Why am I writing this? - it's not really news is it?
