Wenger - Fabregas will not join Barcelona
Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood had claimed on Wednesday informal talks between the clubs had taken place over Fabregas' future and Barcelona have denied brokering a deal with Arsenal not to try and bring Fabregas back to the Nou Camp this summer.
But Wenger said: "We have not been in contact with Barcelona. There is an official dinner before every Champions League game but there have been no secret meetings. I don't want to sell any of our players."
He added: "We want to keep this team together. I can't understand the persistent campaign to get English (Premier League) players to Spain."
Barcelona have held a long-standing interest in Fabregas, who quit the Spanish club in September 2003 due to limited opportunities.
However, technical secretary Txiki Begiristain says nothing has been agreed with Arsenal and if they want him they can hold transfer talks.
"If Barcelona think that he is necessary for the team, they will go for him, always respecting negotiations," he told Spanish newspaper AS.
"We have never said that we will not try to sign Cesc Fabregas. We will see what happens."
