Wenger - We are helping Sol
Arsene Wenger has confirmed Sol Campbell is training with Arsenal but has quashed suggestions of a possible deal.
The 35-year-old has joined the Gunners in order to maintain his fitness levels after walking out on Notts County less than a month after signing for the club.
Having already played for Portsmouth this year, he is (under Football League rules) banned from playing for a third club before January.
West Brom are said to be interested in the veteran defender who will bid to maintain his fitness levels with Arsenal until the turn of the year.
Helping hand
Wenger has ruled out a move for his former skipper, saying: "We will help him to be fit again.
"When you are used to a team sport, it can be difficult to keep completely fit on your own.
"Sol asked me if he could come back here and have some fitness sessions. We'll help him out."
Asked if Campbell could be in line for a new deal, he said: "With us? No. We'll help him out to get fit."
