Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claims he had offers from other clubs over the summer, before pledging his future by signing a new Gunners deal.[LNB] The long-serving Frenchman underlined his enduring commitment to the Gunners by signing a new three-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.[LNB]Seeing the deal through to its conclusion would take the 60-year-old's stay at the north London club to 18 years.[LNB]He says has never had any intention of leaving but that has not stopped other clubs attempting to acquire his services.[LNB]"I love the club and I don't see myself going anywhere else," said Wenger after his side launched their new season with a 1-1 draw at Liverpool.[LNB]"I believe I have one way only to show my commitment to this club - by signing a contract I have been offered.[LNB]"I didn't put the gun to anyone's head and I can only show one way how much I want to do well for the club.[LNB]"I get offers but I always keep a note in my job that I go to the end of my contract.[LNB]"I wasn't ready to talk and for me it is important to focus and not talk about other clubs or opportunities that I have.[LNB]"The best way to focus is to extend the contract but the day I feel I cannot focus or take the team further I will go."[LNB]Wenger was also unwilling to comment on reports linking Arsenal with moves for goalkeepers Mark Schwarzer and Shay Given.[LNB]Fulham have been braced for an approach from the Gunners for veteran Schwarzer while clubs have suddenly been alerted to Given's situation after he was dropped by Manchester City on Saturday.[LNB]"It is better for me not to talk about that because it doesn't help the goalkeepers that play for us," Wenger said.[LNB]"It is better that we focus on the goalkeepers we have.[LNB]"I believe (Manuel) Almunia had a good game today."
