Wenger laughs off Cesc sale talk

Fresh reports suggest that European champions Barca are lining up an attempt to bring Spain international Fabregas back to Camp Nou. The 22-year began his career at Barca before moving to England in 2003 and speculation has hinted that he could be interested in switching back to his homeland. Wenger, though, has again laughed off rumours he would sell by comparing a approach for captain Fabregas to a Gunners enquiry regarding Argentina star Messi. The Frenchman said: "I have made a bid for Messi and nobody speaks about that. Barcelona's response? £125million! Wenger added in the Daily Star: "He (Fabregas) is committed to the club and he has told me that and told that to the press. "We cannot master the noises coming out of Spain. In Spain they have the same problems in the newspapers looking for headlines. "When they have no ideas any more, they come out with a Fabregas story. It is not him who encourages the idea. "It is the press who encourages the idea. Where does that come from? Does it come from Fabregas? It comes from Spain." Meanwhile, Wenger - who has been linked with Fulham centre-back Brede Hangeland - remains tight-lipped over Arsenal's transfer plans. "I have all the players in place," he said. "If we need to add one or two more, the transfer period is open until 31 August. "Ideally you want not to move any more, but you always have to adjust. If there is a need there, we will do it."
