Wenger considers breaking the rules to offer Gallas new Gunners deal

Arsene Wenger will try to convince William Gallas to extend his Arsenal career 14 months after stripping him of the captaincy.[LNB]Gallas is out of contract at the end of the season and the 32-year-old France defender is free to sign a deal with a foreign club to move for nothing in the summer.[LNB]Wenger has a meeting scheduled with Gallas and his agent this month but is restricted by his own guidelines that players over 30 should be offered a contract extension of only 12 months.[LNB] Decision time: Arsene Wenger may have to break his rules to keep William Gallas[LNB]'Unfortunately, that is the rule here, except for the manager,' said Wenger.
