Wenger considering Robin risk - Report

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may take a risk on Robin van Persie in Wednesday's north London derby clash at Tottenham.

Reports in the Daily Mail claim that the Dutchman is close to fitness after missing five months of the season with ruptured ankle ligaments.

The Gunners are without Andrey Arshavin and Cesc Fabregas, and van Persie's goalscoring potential could be vital in the Premier League run-in.

He has apparently been training with the first team and has a chance of playing in Wednesday's must-win Premier League game at White Hart Lane, which could also see the return of Alex Song.
