Wenger - Adebayor is working hard to improve

By Chris HarrisArsène Wenger believes Emmanuel Adebayor is "working hard" to rediscover the form which propelled him to the top of the scoring charts last season. The Togo striker netted 30 times in 48 appearances in 2007/08 and narrowly missed out to Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the Premier League's Golden Boot. Adebayor has not maintained that impressive ratio this term, scoring 11 goals in 23 games, but he has contributed in other ways. The 24-year-old managed five assists last season but has already set up eight goals in 2008/09.Wenger admits that Adebayor has fallen short of the lofty standards he set last year but insists that the target man is still doing his bit for the team."He has not had the same form," said Wenger. "At the moment, he is working very hard to come back to good form and is on a good way."He had dropped off a little bit, but that can happen sometimes. Ronaldo scored 44 last year, and it does not look like he will score 44 this season, because he and Adebayor had exceptional numbers."What is important is that he works hard and contributes to the team - if he opens the way
