Walcott to Miss Arsenal's Clash with Manchester United and Welbeck a Doubt

Arsene Wenger has revealed that 25-year old Theo Walcott will not be playing against rivals Manchester United in the Emirates on Saturday.

The Gunner’s boss revealed in a press conference this morning that Walcott ‘could not practice’ yesterday due to a groin injury he picked up over England’s 3-1 win over Scotland during the international break.

‘Theo is not available for tomorrow’s clash, he has a tight groin,’ Wenger told reporters in today’s press conference.

Walcott has played only twice for Arsenal this month after being side-lined for nine months due to a ligament injury.

Danny Welbeck has not been ruled either fit or injured but his hamstring problem will be checked today in order to give the final decision on whether he will be playing against his old club on Saturday.

‘We will decide if Welbeck is fit after checking on him today,’ Wenger also stated this morning.
