Walcott to leave next as Arsenal exodus continues

Theo Walcott could be the next high profile player to follow Robin van Persie out of the Arsenal this summer.

The England international has already hinted he will consider his future if his Dutch team mate decides to leave and may now stall on contract talks while he listens to other options.

Walcott and Van Persie are very close friends on and off the pitch and is said to be 'devastated' that his friend is not renewing his contract according to The Sun.

Walcott wouldn't find it difficult to find a new club with Chelsea said to be monitoring Walcott’s situation, and may well decide to test the waters with an opening bid should they receive the right signals.

He wouldn't be the first player to switch from the red of Arsenal to the Blue of Chelsea, with Ashley Cole making the switch in 2006.
