Vieira snubs Arsenal and Spurs as Gunners legend stays with Inter Milan

Patrick Vieira will not be returning to north London after the former Arsenal skipper vowed to stay with Inter Milan. The France midfielder has been strongly linked with his old employers as well as their bitter rivals Tottenham earlier in the summer. But, according to Sky Sports, the 33-year-old will remain with Jose Mourinho's Serie A champions despite rumours he would be moving on tosecure regular first-team football ahead of next summer's World Cup inSouth Africa. Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed defender Thomas Vermaelen should be fit to face Everton after recovering from a groin injury. Wenger said: 'If we had wanted to take a gamble then we could have played him last weekend but we did not want that. He should be available for next weekend.'
