Van Persie: Don't blame me

Robin van Persie has denied being the disruptive influence in the Arsenal dressing room as revealed by William Gallas.

Gallas was stripped of the club captaincy by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger last week after breaking ranks to speak out about an unnamed team-mate who he felt lacked respect.

Gallas claimed the mystery 25-year-old was at the centre of the club's dressing room unrest.

However, the 25-year-old Netherlands striker does not believe he is the player in question.

Van Persie said: "Are you suggesting that William was talking about me?

"I don't know that, because he never told me anything and I didn't see my name in the papers, so I never felt that he was speaking about me.

"For me, there isn't a problem."

  Gallas didn't perform to the standard of an Arsenal captain, so Wenger's decision was ok, however Fabregas lacks maturity though he is a good player with skill and talent.
