Robin van Persie has set his sights on playing for Arsenal against Manchester City in the Carling Cup.[LNB]Van Persie bagged Arsenal's first in the 4-2 Barclays Premier League defeat earlier this season and memories of an eventful affair in Manchester have left the in-form striker relishing the opportunity of a return to Eastlands.[LNB]Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Adebayor earned a suspension and a ban for his antics, which included a stamp on Van Persie.[LNB]The Dutchman has played just 45 minutes of football in the competition over the last four seasons due to Arsene Wenger's policy of giving the club's top youth players an opportunity to impress.[LNB]"If they can find the right mix like they did in the last round against Liverpool, they have a big chance of winning," said Van Persie. "They showed some quality in that game.[LNB]"I want to play that one. It was a good game last time because they have a good side. We fancy winning this one. I would love to play - if the boss decides to let me play, I am happy to."
