Arsenal are reportedly planning to sign Japanese teenager Ryo Miyaichi, who has impressed during a trial with the club.

According to the Daily Mail, The 17-year-old dazzled for Arsenal reserves in a friendly on Tuesday night - and received rave reviews from on-lookers Pat Rice and Boro Primorac.

Arsene Wenger may have to compete with Ajax for the winger's signature, where Miyaichi is heading next for a spell training in Holland.

Miyaichi apparently boasts pace and power, and it two-footed with a devastating shot.

Meanwhile, Scott Parker is apparently on the verge of signing a new five-year deal at West Ham - according to The Sun.

Owners David Gold and David Sullivan are planning to announce the news before the end of the week.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Upton Park, but a new deal may see him finish his career with the Hammers.
