He said: “I think it will be difficult now. We could still do the deal but it looks like one that is a bit too complicated at this stage. It's about affordability as well. If Tom stays at Blackpool it doesn't mean he won't join Liverpool at a later stage."

Good morning folks! It's that time again! We have reached TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY!
We all know what this means. Money, rumours and lies galore will all be arriving thick and thin throughout today, as the likes of Mr. 'Wheeler Dealer' Harry Redknapp will no doubt be sniffing around for the cheapest deals his club can bring in to stay in the top flight.

And of course, who could forget the likes of Keiron Dyer being released from QPR? Or Daniel Carrico joining Reading from Sporting Libson! Or the beast that is Marouane Chamakh joining West Ham on loan from Arsenal? Or even Danny Wilson leaving for Hearts?! Ok, fine. I guess not.
However, one thing that will dampen the festivity of today is the loss of Mario Balotelli. The former Manchester City striker has packed his bags and flew off back to Italy with AC Milan.
