The Football Association have charged
Arsenal defender Kolo Toure with violent conduct.
The charge relates to an incident involving Newcastle United's veteran striker Alan Shearer during the Gunners' 1-0 victory at Highbury on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international has until 6pm on Wednesday 26 January to respond to the charge.
If Toure accepts the charge, he will handed a three-match suspension with immediate effect, but if he denies it the case will be heard at a Disciplinary Commission on Thursday 27 January.
Toure has been a regular in Arsene Wenger's side this season and has already played in almost 90 Premiership games for the club less than three years after arriving at Highbury.
