Toure closes in on Barcelona exit

Outgoing Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed the sale of midfielder Yaya Toure is at a 'very advanced' stage.[LNB] The Ivorian has stated his desire to ply his trade in the Premier League, adding to rumours that he is set to leave Barca this summer.[LNB]A number of clubs have been linked with the Ivory Coast international, with Manchester City and Arsenal both said to be admirers.[LNB]"The sale of Toure is very advanced," said Laporta, who is to be replaced by Sandro Rosell at the end of the month.[LNB]Toure confirmed his liking for England's top division but stressed he is focused on the World Cup, with his nation set to tackle Portugal in Group G on Tuesday.[LNB]He said on Sky Sports News: "I have said for a long that I want to play in the Premier League.[LNB]"For me, the Premier League is a very good competition and I love that.[LNB]"After the World Cup I will decide what I want to do."
