Gary Cahill has been the centre of much attention lately and in the summer was close to leaving Bolton.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham made bids for the England International centre back but their evaluations fell short of what Bolton had hoped for.

Chelsea have recently shown an interest and it could set off a bidding war for the player in January.

Cahill's contract is up at the end of the season and Bolton are willing to lose him for around £7 million instead of seeing him leave for free in the summer.
