Early exit: Vermaelen limps off at Villa Park[LNB]Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has not fractured his leg but is doubtful for Sunday's Barclays Premier League clash with Manchester United, the north London club have confirmed. [LNB]Vermaelen limped off in the first half of the goalless draw at Aston Villa and Guners boss Arsene Wenger feared the centre-half was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.[LNB]But a scan on Thursday afternoon revealed the injury was not as bad as first thought.[LNB]Wenger told the club's official website: 'There is no fracture in Thomas' leg but his injury still has to be assessed. [LNB]'There is still a good chance he will not play on Sunday.[LNB]'Eduardo has a small, small, small hamstring problem. He will be out for one week. He will not make Man United but he might make Chelsea.' [LNB]Emmanuel Eboue and Alex Song are likely to feature against United after returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty.
