Theo Walcott injury blow for Arsenal and as winger is ruled out for six weeks

Arsenal have confirmed that winger Theo Walcott will be sidelined for up to six weeks with an ankle injury he sustained on international duty with England. Walcott collected the injury during England's 3-1 win over Switzerland on Tuesday night and leaves Arsenal in the midst of an injury crisis ahead of their clash with Bolton this weekend. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that Walcott, 21, would be missing for up to six weeks. 'The tackle looked quite bad,' said Wenger. 'When you see how it turned his ankle I thought it would be three or four days or it would be four to six weeks. Unfortunately it will be four to six weeks.' Cruel blow: Walcott was injured in the early stages of England's win in Basle Walcott has been in flying form since Capello dumped him from his ill-fated World Cup squad, scoring four goals in three Premier League games for Arsenal and finally nailing down a regular first-team slot in Wenger's side after several injury-interrupted seasons. Walcott has also started all three of England's internationals this season, and will miss his country's next Euro 2012 qualifier, against Montenegro at Wembley on October 12.
