THE LIST: The greatest Wembley finals in history, Nos 20-11

As part of our build-up to the FA Cup final between Everton and Chelsea on Saturday, Sportsmail brings you the greatest ever Wembley matches. Our team of experts have picked their favourites from major competitions including World Cup finals, European tournaments, the League Cup, the FA Vase and Football League Trophy. Play-off finals and the Charity Shield were not included as they are one-off events and not full-blown knock-out competitions. Here come another 10 selections, with the very best revealed on Friday. But do you agree with our panel's choices? Let us know by leaving your comments below. SPORTSMAIL'S GREATEST EVER WEMBLEY FINALS Nos 20-11 20 Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1 (1977 FA Cup) The best two teams in the country met at Wembley. Liverpool were on for the treble but goals from Stuart Pearson and Jimmy Greenhoff gave United the glory after they lost out in the league. 19 Arsenal 0 Ipswich Town 1 (1978 FA Cup) Bobby Robson's Ipswich overcame favourites Arsenal thanks to a Roger Osbourne goal. But the occasion was all-too-much for the player, who fainted and had to be substituted shortly afterwards. 18 West Ham 2 1860 Munich 0 (1965 European Cup Winners' Cup) An end-to-end match saw Ron Greenwood's Hammers pitted against Max Merkel's Munich. Alan Sealey's two goals were the difference and chants of 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles' drowned out the last 20 minutes of this pulsating clash. 17 Tottenham 2 Nottingham Forest 1 (1991 FA Cup) Brian Clough's best chance to win the FA Cup was scuppered by a Des Walker own goal in extra-time in a final that will forever be remembered for Paul Gascoigne's reckless challenge on Gary Charles. 16 Cardiff City 1 Arsenal 0 (1927 FA Cup) Arsenal goalkeeper Dan Lewis's howler gifted Hughie Ferguson a goal and the FA Cup left England for the first (and, so far, last) time in the first final to be broadcast on BBC Radio. 15 Liverpool 1 Club Brugge 0 (1978 European Cup) The Reds retained the European Cup thanks to a Kenny Dalglish goal in the 65th minute. 14 Luton Town 3 Arsenal 2 (1988 League Cup) Underdogs Luton Town clawed back a 2-1 deficit and a Brian Stein free-kick in the 90th minute gave the Hatters their first major trophy. 13 Everton 3 Sheffield Wednesday 2 (1966 FA Cup) The Toffees fought back from 2-0 down and fan Eddie Kavanagh decided to invade the pitch - all on his own. Thankfully it didn't disrupt his team from clinching victory, courtesy of a Derek Temple goal. 12 Bolton 2 West Ham 0 (1923 FA Cup) The first final at the 'new' Wembley (completed in 300 working days at a cost of £750,000 - imagine that!) gave Bolton their first FA Cup. David Jack scored the first Wembley goal inside two minutes and JR Smith sealed the match for Wanderers. 11 Chelsea 2 Leeds 2 (1970 FA Cup) The first final not be decided on the day saw Dave Sexton's Chelsea take on Don Revie's Leeds in a clash of footballing cultures. Chelsea later won the replay 2-1 at Old Trafford.
