THE INSIDER

Simon Jones is Sportsmail's man on the inside of all the biggest (and littlest) transfer moves this summer.
His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why.
A 5/5-rating means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.

LUIS FABIANO
Sevilla to Manchester United - The Insider says: 2/5
The Brazilian striker is a player United have watched many times and were keen on last year. Manchester City also made strong inquiries but he is destined for AC Milan.
Sevilla have hit money troubles and are ready to cash in on the 28-year-old. They want at least £15million and the deal won't be straightforward as he is "part-owned' by various parties.
United do not want him yet though as they still have other irons in the fire and Milan are confident of concluding a deal.
MAREK HAMSIK
Napoli to Liverpool - The Insider says: 2/5
Liverpool have drawn up a provisional shortlist of potential targets should Real Madrid match their £35million valuation on midfielder Xabi Alonso. They have scouted a few players in Spain and Italy and have their eye on one or two in England too.
Hamsik is a player who caught the eye two years ago when the Slovakia international, and friend of Martin Skrtel, was top scorer at Napoli.
Still only 21 he is more attack-minded than Alonso so wouldn't be a direct replacement. Manchester United and Arsenal have also watched him.
MARC-ANTOINE FORTUNE
Nancy to Hull City - The Insider says: 4/5
Celtic have made a very good offer for the striker who impressed while on loan with Tony Mowbray at West Bromwich last season and the Frenchman is keen on playing in Europe and on the big stage with Celtic.
But Hull's wage offer is better and that may persuade Fortune to go back to them and sign a four year contract.
Hull are desperate to snap up strikers with their offer for Fraizer Campbell still in the balance but this could be their first success.
TOMMY SMITH
Watford to Sheffield United - The Insider says: 4/5
Smith looked destined for Reading up until yesterday but they struggled to raise the funds Watford were looking for as they put in offers of £800,000 and £1m rising to £1.5m.
But the 29-year-old scored 17 goals last season and Watford were looking for better return on their asset which is where Sheffield United stepped in and had their £1.8m offer accepted last night.
PETER CROUCH
Portsmouth to AC Milan - The Insider says: 3/5
It's not fantasy. As Sportsmail revealed this morning AC Milan have a very real interest in Peter Crouch and he is next on their list should a deal for Sevilla's Luis Fabiano fall through.
Crouch has emerged with credit since he left Liverpool wanting to play more regular football. He has honed his skills and is now highly regarded as a target man with good feet and ability to bring others into play.
The Portsmouth striker has many admirers in England including Fulham but Milan would be a dream move for him.
