Simon Jones is Sportsmail'sman on the inside of all the major transfer moves this summer. [LNB]  His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why. [LNB]A 5/5-rating  means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.[LNB]Don't miss your daily instalment of The Insider every weekday through the transfer window here at MailOnline.[LNB]Wesley SneijderInter Milan to Manchester United - The Insider says: 2/5United's interest in Sneijder first surfaced last month at a time when he was also being linked with a return to Real Madrid. [LNB]The Dutch midfield maestro has had a fantastic season with Inter Milan and is looking to top that by making the World Cup final. [LNB] Going strong: Sneijder's celebrates Holland's win over Brazil in the World Cup[LNB]He is key to Inter's style but knows that will change under Rafa Benitez and is keen to sit down with his new manager after the World Cup and discuss his playing role.[LNB] But Benitez is well aware of Sneijder's ability and is reluctant to lose a player of his calibre - certainly to rivals such as Manchester United and his old adversary Sir Alex Ferguson. [LNB]The problem will boil down to how much Sneijder wants to join United and whether he agitates to leave. Even then £25m would fall short of Inter's valuations but Benitz could use the cash to go for Liverpool's Javier Mascherano. [LNB]Rafik HallicheBenfica to Arsenal - The Insider says: 1/5The Algeria defender had a decent World Cup and is regarded as a player of potential but he won't be going to Arsenal at this stage of his career. [LNB]Arsene Wenger likes a bargain but knows after the capture of Laurent Koscielny that he needs more experience too. [LNB] Big stage: Halliche played in Algeria's three group games at the World Cup[LNB]William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre are still expected to leave while Sol Campbell will only be offered a one year deal in August when Arsenal have a better idea of their squad make-up. By then Campbell may have decided to go elsewhere anyway. [LNB]Halliche does have other Premier League interest though, as well as in Germany, and may sign a deal over the next few weeks. [LNB]Nicky HuntBolton to Portsmouth - The Insider says: 1/5No Pompey move: Hunt[LNB]The former England Under 21 international has not had the best of times over recent seasons. [LNB]He fell out of favour under Gary Megson at Bolton and slipped out of the picture with a loan spell at Birmingham before ending up at Derby County on loan again last season. [LNB]He did reasonably well and clocked up 21 games and that sparked interest among a few clubs including Portsmouth. [LNB]However, Avram Grant's departure to West Ham has put paid to their interest as new manager Steve Cotterill has other plans and full-backs in mind.[LNB] Bolton have allowed the 26-year-old to go on a free transfer and he should attract fresh interest soon. [LNB]Francois ClercLyon to West Ham - The Insider says: 1/5When in Rome: Clerc (left) looks set to head for Italy[LNB]West Ham made inquiries about the 27-year-old full-back in January but uncertainty over Gianfranco Zola's situation was one of the reasons that forced the deal to be put on ice. [LNB]Now is a different story with West Ham looking for full-backs and Clerc keen to move after years of competing with Anthony Reveillere at right-back. [LNB]Clerc, who is out of contract, can also play right midfield. He has been offered to Birmingham too and has attracted interest from Italy notably Roma. [LNB]Claudio Ranieri has offered him a two-year deal worth £2m a year and that looks likely to be his destination unless West Ham come back into the equation.[LNB]  More from Simon Jones - The Insider... THE INSIDER: Nadir Belhadj's Lazio move in doubt, Dan Golsing too risky for Newcastle and West Ham lead chase for Pablo Barrera 05/07/10 THE INSIDER: Tottenham tracking Barcelona starlet Gai Assulin while Besiktas tempt Manchester City's Roque Santa Cruz towards the Eastlands exit 02/07/10 THE INSIDER: Roy Hodgson hoping Brede Hangeland follows him to Liverpool as Arsenal line up £10m Germany ace Per Mertesacker01/07/10 THE INSIDER: Sol Campbell makes Celtic wait, Robbie Blake heads for Bolton and Manchester City don't need Landon Donovan30/06/10 THE INSIDER: Magaye Gueye to join Everton as Pompey pair head for Lazio and Benfica get tough over Man City target David Luiz29/06/10 THE INSIDER: Blackburn eye Raul but Spain legend looks set to join MLS as Wigan set sights on South Africa star Siphiwe Tshabalala28/06/10 THE INSIDER: Liverpool weigh Albert Riera future, no Turkish delight for Alex Song and Birmingham eye Yuto Nagatomo25/06/10 THE INSIDER: William Gallas knocks back Juventus as Wigan bolster squad with Mauro Boselli24/06/10 VIEW FULL ARCHIVE[LNB]
