His column, published every weekday, offers an insight into the deals which will be done and those that won't - and why.
A 5/5-rating means The Insider reckons it's a done deal; 0/5 means The Insider has his mortgage on it not happening.

Fabrizio MiccoliPalermo to Birmingham - The Insider says: 3/5Birmingham are confident of agreeing a deal for the 30-year-old striker but that has prompted Palermo to re-appraise the situation.
Palermo have signed former Middlesbrough misfit Massimo Maccarone but Miccoli is a favourite at the club and some believe they have not shown him enough love and care in the past few months.
In the pink: Miccoli could be turning out in the blue of Birmingham
They believe a fresh contract offer to the diminutive striker may persuade him to stay but Birmingham remain confident their £4.5million offer will be enough to lure him to St Andrew's.
Alex McLeish has been the quickest Premier League manager out of the blocks in the transfer window this summer and he is close to adding Paul Konchesky and Nathaniel Clyne too.
Pierre WeboMallorca to Wigan - The Insider says: 2/5Options: Wigan may struggle to land Webo
Webo has been linked with Premier League clubs for some time and Wigan manager Roberto Martinez was keen on a move for him last summer.
However, the 28-year-old Cameroon striker has spent most of his career in Spain and freely admits he enjoys the lifestyle there.
He is ambitious to try the Premier League and that opportunity may come sooner than he anticipated with a few clubs monitoring his performances in the World Cup warm-up games in Austria.
Wigan have hit an impasse in their bid to sign Mauro Boselli from Estudiantes and will now have to weigh up alternatives should it fall through. Webo will be under consideration but he may prefer a bigger club.
Mesut OzilWerder Bremen to Arsenal - The Insider says: 2/5There has been much talk about Ozil over the past year since his performances at the Under 21 European Championships and his influential display for Germany against Australia last Sunday showed why.
His fluid attacking style is perfect for Arsenal and that is why they have been on his trail for the past 12 months.

He signed for Werder Bremen for £4million from Schalke but his contract runs out next year and the big clubs are circling.
Manchester City will also compete, as they will for any good young player, and that could be the problem for Arsenal once the bidding is raised.
They will have to hope that the player wants to join them ahead of anyone else as they will struggle to match Bremen's £20m valuation.
They will also face competition from Inter Milan and Real Madrid but they have other priorities.
Fernando TorresLiverpool to Barcelona - The Insider says: 3/5Sportsmail brought you the news first that Chelsea and Manchester City wanted the Liverpool talisman, then we broke the story that Barcelona, aside from targeting Cesc Fabregas, had spoken to Torres's advisers about him joining after the World Cup.
As we reported, the feedback to incoming president Sandro Rossell was positive and Barcelona will work on the deal over the coming weeks.
Superstar striker: Most big clubs would love to have Torres sign for them
They do not have fortunes to spend but the sale of Yaya Toure will give them extra bargaining power and the possibility of offloading Zlatan Ibrahimovic remains.
Fabregas may prove too difficult to achieve if Arsenal maintain their stance but Torres will listen to what they have to say.
He is eager to make another go of his Liverpool career but that may depend on who stays and who comes in after July.
It would be easier for him to go to Barcelona than another club in England.
