Stewards at football matches get an undue amount of stick, but it seems when it comes to the issue of selfie sticks they stand alongside the bulk of football fans.
Arsenal announced along with north London rivals Tottenham last week that they had banned the widely-mocked photographic aids, and they appear to be sticking to their guns on the matter.
This was from yesterday’s win over Stoke at the Emirates.

So, if you want to get rid of an unwanted selfie stick that someone misguidedly bought you for Christmas, simply take it along to the Emirates and tell everyone it got confiscated.
One London club doesn’t appear to have got the memo, though. At Chelsea, you can buy branded selfie sticks…
