Spahic hoping Gunners move happens

osnian defender Emir Spahic claims Arsenal are in talks with his club Montpellier about a possible move to the Emirates Stadium.[LNB] Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted he is the market for defensive reinforcements after seeing Sol Campbell, William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre all leave the club this summer.[LNB]Laurent Koscielny from Lorient is Wenger's only addition to his central defence and Spahic is reported to be on his list of targets.[LNB]The 29-year-old admits he would jump at the chance to join Arsenal and he hopes a deal can be agreed with Montpellier.[LNB]"The most important thing is that so far the negotiations go as planned and that the transfer could be completed soon," Spahic told Sportssport.ba.[LNB]"Arsenal is a great club, I'm an admirer of Arsene Wenger and I hope that Montpellier will cooperate."[LNB]Gunners full-back Bacary Sagna, who came through the ranks at Bordeaux before joining Arsenal in 2007, has watched Spahic's progress with Montpellier with interest, and admits that he would make a good addition to the Arsenal squad.[LNB]Sagna said: "I used to follow him in French football last year and he is a good player.[LNB]"He's definitely good enough to play for Arsenal and everyone will welcome him if he does come."
