Senderos set to swap Arsenal for Atletico to rescue World Cup dream

Philippe Senderos is set to quit Arsenal for Atletico Madrid inJanuary. The Switzerland defender has asked Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to sell him to the Spanish side or work out a loan deal so he can kick-start his international career ahead of the World Cup. The 24-year-old has slipped behind William Gallas, Thomas Vermaelen and Mikael Silvestre in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium. Fresh start: Senderos is set to seal a move to Spain with Atletico Madrid Senderos, who had a spell at AC Milan earlier this year and has made just two Carling Cup appearances since the start of the season, said recently:  'I need to seek a solution as I'm not playing for Arsenal.
