Philippe Senderos is keen to sign a new long-term contract with
Arsenal.
The 20-year-old Switzerland international was hugely impressive in the Gunners defence in the second half of the season and has been offered an improved five-year deal by the club.
Senderos is delighted to have been offered the chance to stay at Highbury and said: "I'd love to stay, I'm very happy at the club.
"Now they've given me the opportunity to play, I'm really enjoying myself.
"This year has been great and I now have good friends at Arsenal - and that's what you need."
Senderos moved to Arsenal in a £500,000 deal from Servette in July 2003 and has three years left on his current contract.
He has made 13 Premiership appearances for the club after making his debut in the 3-1 victory at Charlton Athletic on New Year's Day.
