// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore believes Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor's weekend behaviour has tarnished the game's image.[LNB] The Togo international could be in hot water with the FA for an alleged stamp on Arsenal's Robin van Persie in Saturday's 4-2 victory.[LNB]Former Gunners player Adebayor also let his emotions get the better of him when he raced the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of Arsenal's fans after scoring.[LNB]The FA have until Tuesday to charge the 25-year-old, who could be hit by a three-match ban alone if found guilty of violent conduct for his challenge on Van Persie.[LNB]Scudamore believes the extraordinary scenes are damaging to the hugely popular Premier League's image and overshadowed an otherwise thrilling weekend of footballing action.[LNB]Fantastic"We've had a fantastic two days of football, and that includes the game at Eastlands," he said.[LNB]"Why then, when you run the Premier League, would you want the headlines on Sunday through to Monday being something else?[LNB]"You don't want it, do you? So clearly it doesn't do any good for the brand that is football in one sense. You'd rather it didn't happen.[LNB]"Of course when these instances come up you'd rather that the talk was about the action and the goals.[LNB]"I trust the FA to deal with it and they will do whatever they have to do.[LNB]"But these instances, whether they're on the field and beamed around the world like this one, or isolated instances of bad behaviour off the field, don't do the image of the league or football in general any good."[LNB]
