Rosicky - No contract talks

Tomas Rosicky has revealed that he has not held talks with Arsenal over extending his contract beyond the end of the season. The Czech Republic international has only recently returned following a 20-month absence after suffering a series of complications with a hamstring injury. The 29-year-old started his first Premier League game of the season in the 6-2 win over Blackburn on Sunday and, although the midfielder is yet to complete a match so far, he admits he is feeling fitter with each passing game. Having returned to action, Rosicky confirmed he has briefly discussed his future with manager Arsene Wenger but no official talks have taken place with the club. "I have spoken with Mr Wenger on this matter," he told Deniksport.cz. "It is not the most actual thing, though, and there are no negotiations running these days. "I know that even if I haven't reached an agreement with Arsenal, then I would still be able to find a new club to play for, although it might sound too self-confident. "The most important thing for me is to stay healthy and I would not like to comment on it any further." UnscathedRosicky's fitness will be tested in the next week with two internationals in the space of four days when the Czech Republic come up against Poland and Northern Ireland, but the Gunners ace is confident he will come through unscathed. "Naturally, it is better now," he added about his injury. "Although I was training hard, you cannot substitute presence in competitive games. "I'm feeling much better these days. Although I've been substituted most recently around the 70th minute I don't feel tired and easily could play full 90 minutes. "There is no problem with my fitness. I think I am on the right course. "Out of the six fixtures I have been in the starting XI three times and three times I appeared as a substitute. "Coach Wenger has been gradually applying the burden on me and I feel that it has been better and better. I am glad that it has been working like that."
