The Czech Republic international, who turned 29 on Sunday, has recently come back into Arsene Wenger's plans having been sidelined since January 2008.[LNB]His current deal expires at the end of the season and the former Borussia Dortmund ace is eager to extend his time at The Emirates.[LNB]Rosicky confirmed he has broached the subject with Arsenal boss Wenger and is now keen to hold negotiations over a new deal.[LNB]"I spoke recently to the boss about a new contract," said Rosicky. "We haven't started negotiating yet and we'll see what happens.[LNB]"I want to stay and my fitness is getting better and better. You miss the Champions League and the Premier League when you are out for so long."[LNB]Now that he is back to fitness, Rosicky is eager to help the Gunners challenge for honours this season and has no qualms about fighting for his place.[LNB]He added: "It's always huge competition for places. When you can see how many offensive players we have - against Olympiakos, Eduardo, Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott, Samir Nasri and Carlos Vela did not start - we have many, many options.[LNB]"I definitely think our squad is as good as all our rivals. Even when we lost twice in Manchester we made stupid mistakes and just need to learn from them."[LNB][LNB]
